Sovereign advisory

Advisor for the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine

Since 2017, we have been engaged by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine as part of a broader Rothschild & Co debt management mandate to advise on development and implementation of the country’s debt strategy. Our work has included support in design and execution of liability management initiatives, comprehensive analysis of gross financing needs, debt composition assessments, and the development of Ukraine’s credit story, including credit ratings and investor relations strategy.

We have supported the Ministry in Eurobond issuances and in complex debt management exercises. Our team prepared investor and stakeholder materials to communicate key macroeconomic and public finance developments ranging from regular investor presentations to ad hoc materials for the international financial organizations and domestic institutions.

How we work

In the sovereign sector, we offer professional advice and broad capabilities at the intersection of sovereign and commercial finance. Our approach is grounded in a clear client-first focus, ensuring that objectives are met efficiently. We bring a holistic perspective gained from advising both sovereign entities and state-owned enterprises such as Ukrenergo, Ukravtodor, SFGCU and others.
