Financial restructuring

Independent, results-driven advisory

We deliver objective financial restructuring advice to companies in distress or seeking to optimise their capital structure. Our focus is on practical, sustainable solutions – from resolving payment defaults and bridging liquidity shortfalls to arranging refinancing and securing additional capital as part of a comprehensive debt restructuring process.

As part of our financial restructuring services, we can assist with the sale of non-core assets to support the recapitalisation plan. We stay engaged until a workable agreement is reached.

With experience representing both borrowers and lenders, we have led some of Ukraine’s largest and most complex restructurings. Our mandates often involve coordinating among diverse creditor groups, including Ukrainian and international banks, DFIs, IFIs, ECAs, and Eurobond holders.

When to engage us

  • Complex recapitalisations and restructurings
  • Debt default event
  • Liquidity gaps expected
  • Lenders seeking to exit or optimise loan portfolios

How we work

Borrower advisory. We support borrowers through consent solicitations, standstill arrangements, and the preparation and stress-testing of financial forecasts. We develop comprehensive business plans, draft and negotiate restructuring proposals, and remain engaged until agreements with lenders are secured. Our approach prioritizes a fair, sustainable allocation of cash flows, aligned with prevailing economic conditions.

Lender advisory. We engage with all relevant stakeholders, foster constructive relationships with the borrower, and rigorously review and adjust financial forecasts. We negotiate restructuring terms on behalf of lenders and manage the process through to the finalisation and implementation of the agreement.
